'Festival of LIGHT' - community Christmas Tree exhibition
Wednesday 27th December 2023
over week before Christmas, we had 8 or 9 fully lit & baubled trees in the church (still there to view on Sundays till 12th Night), donated by local Youth & Community to our 'Festival of Light'.
They arrived from Youth groups which meet in the church halls, such as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Boys' Brigade (& Girls Association to give them their full name), Muirhouse Housing Association, Sassy Women' (at Muirhouse Community Centre), Craigroyston Primary School, NEA 'Create' group, plus a mystery one just left for us to put up.
There were open sessions during the week for families to see them on the way home from school, with 2 quizzes to complete, with clues dotted about the display.
This is the first time we've done this (thanks to ENK@CK for the idea), but will repeat it I'm sure.
