SUMMER FAIR is almost here!

Saturday 8th June 2024

Our annual SUMMER FAIR is on Saturday 15th June '24, from 10am till 12noon. It costs 30p for each adult, accompanied children are free. There will be the usual stalls of Tombola, Grand Draw, Bric-a-Brac, 'New Gifts', Nearly-New Clothes, books/cds/dvds, all washed down with tea & coffee - what's not to like. Hope you can join us.

Stamp Appeal - latest update

Yesterday, 7th Feb.'24, we handed in the latest batch of stamps to the Church of Scotland Stamp Appeal - see the photo. This was possible because of generous people taking the time to carefully cut stamps from their mail leaving an inch margin all the way round (or just giving us the whole envelope) so that the Appeal volunteers can resell them to stamp collectors. 'Festival of LIGHT' - community Christmas Tree exhibition

over week before Christmas, we had 8 or 9 fully lit & baubled trees in the church (still there to view on Sundays till 12th Night), donated by local Youth & Community to our 'Festival of Light'. They arrived from Youth groups which meet in the church halls, such as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Boys' Brigade (& Girls Association to give them their full name), Muirhouse Housing Association, Sassy Women' (at Muirhouse Community Centre), Craigroyston Primary School, NEA 'Create' group, plus a mystery one just left for us to put up. Every year there is a city-centre Christmas Carol singing event, usually associated with the large Nativity scene or the lights being switched on.
