Monday - Boy's Brigade [note: Anchor & Junior Boys sections are NOT meeting at present]
January 2024: sadly due to lack of leaders the Anchor & Junior sections are NOT meeting at present. 14/05/23: "The Junior section has restarted too!" 23/04/23: "the Anchor Boys section of 66th Company Boys’ Brigade and Girls Association in Muirhouse will RESTART meeting on Monday 1st May 2023"
Descriptions
For boys from P1 upwards, badge-work, games and more (all activity leads to annual Camp & end of session 'Display & Awards' night).
While the 66th's Facebook page for 23rd Feb. said, "We have some sad news to share. Unfortunately the Boys' Brigade and Girls Association in Muirhouse will not be meeting on Friday evenings for the foreseeable future. ..etc"
As of 23rd April, we are happy to report that enough trained leaders have come forward to restart the Anchor Boys section [P1 - P3] from MONDAY 1st May, 6pm, and running during May & June. AND, as of 8th May the Junior Section has restarted too, great.
As the original Facebook post said, "We are continuing to reach out to Boys' Brigade headquarters and our Church for support, and if anything changes we will let everyone know .... The Old Kirk and Muirhouse church leaders hope to find new BB leaders or alternative arrangements to support the boys and leaders." We do hope to increase the pool of leaders so the Company becomes sustainable over time, so please get in touch via tokandmchurch@gmail.com, if you might be interested in helping out
